Europe Nationals at Lancing this weekend - shame there was not more boats. Where were you all as you missed force 4 to 5 on Friday, force 4 yesterday and force 3 today.

Everyone is sunburned and exhausted - especially those of us running it.

The south coast is a beautiful place when the sun shines and the sea breeze kicks in.

and I got to sail my Contender as well.

Took a board and a paddle out. Massively outpaced anyone using a sail.

I also had an awesome time at carsington for the NSSA nats.  We needed more wind than the 7-10 knots we were given to put the 4K through its paces but we had a good time.  As we failed in the fast handicap i was happy to come third in mount haes but annoyed as that nice big trophy was so close...

spent the last week at the NSSA event at Carsington SC, loved it!! wind was pretty good most the week came 15th out of 30(?)boats and was getting some race results in the top 10.

and spent this weekend playing with a wasps nest in Villan's boat, now they cant get to it at all, gotta love hatch covers

After that i tried the short board which was harder to get going but once i got it moving it absolutely flew. It wouldn't point like the formula board but it was very very fast. Then I had to work out how to turn the damn thing round. WHich went wrong. The first time i went for a gybe and stuck the pointy end in and fell off. Then I tried a tack and sunk the stern and the board did a back flip. Somehow i got it turned round though and had another great burn back in.

I was still definately feeling the bike ride from yesterday on the way home though.

i got a brilliant sail in on wednesday evening. club racing in the rs300. i was the only boat to do 3 laps (31mins something). the nearest boat behind me did 2 laps in 29mins, 52secs. was dead pleased about that.

now just need to find the leak in the boat.....
