Who was out this weekend?.....

Not really weekend but had a great sail today. Finally found a crew that looks like it will last! Probably still looking for a Musto too though probably.

Apart from having to come early because we broke the jib it was a great sail in about 8 - 12 knots with a few much bigger gusts but on the whole quite constant and good for a first time crew.

Jib bit annoying but only £20 repair. Just the hook to fasten it to the bow. That after 3 weeks ago my crew broke the boom in half . First breakages after 10 monhts so not too bad! Hopefulyl just a short bad luck streak.

First time I have had a good laugh sailing it, someone my own age who I get on with! Really helps getting on well.. Pretty much sorted team work out in 1hr 30 mins on water which is pretty good considering the time its taken for others! Still not too confident though (in my sailing, I seem to have a phobia of getting properly low on the wire while helming, not sure why because when I do I'm fine - Just doesn't seem right). Although we didn't get the spinnaker out we still had a laugh, the wind angle was bit annoying no decent sized runs and we were having a wail of a time just beaming back and forward!

For once I had some pictures taken - by my mum from the shore so they are not that great! Looking at them we are both quite small for the 49er but it went well. Combined weight of about 146kg +/- (depending on my eating and gym habits at the time!).

Not many peopel out apart from annoying windsurfers . Quite dis heartened when one went flying past on a board about a metre wide! looked like an oversized wakeboard.

Hopefully gettign a Velocitek soon so I can see how fast we actually go . Feels a lot faster than it is I think!

Yea they did exactly same thing. Just hung around by the beach really close together so you had to weave in and out of them in the water/ going slowly.

Just spent this evening photoshopping sponsor logos onto a photo of a 49er for sponsors.. essh taken ages! . Got a few lined up but not confirmed and they all want some idea of what it would look like/ where they could have things so this is only way I think!

i was teaching kids today, got all the level 2 theory done in one morning. now we just have to hope they can get a sail in on some of the rest of the course. the weather doesn't look like it will play ball though.

Nothing wrong with a Mirror! I have got to sail one in 4 weeks time, 3 up!!
