get duck tape and use LOADS of it. the tape on mine was as fat as the lower block was. the blocks should be taped so tightly there is no real movement between the 2.

I helped Mr Emmet tape a traveller block once and he put nearly a whole roll on it so i would of thought if it works for him then............

i hve never seen or heard of using a spring. i personally wouldnt use one as im sure its not class legal. lots of tape stifens the whole lot up nicely and does the trick well.

Sorry i forgot to say, it seemed to work really well with one person holding the two blocks in the right place and the other puts the tape on really TIGHT

I went out in the 800 with my crew tim for the first time this year in the 800.
Was about a force 4, nice waves, what a perfect sail!! Only problem being
the race officer decided to set a course of reasonable size for an OPPY, not
an 800!! Was a good work out and so good to be back on the water after a
bit of a gap.

I was racing at broadstairs this time round. Im not a member at wilsonian
anymore. Tim's home club. I'm going to see how long I can sail there before
they ask me to join.

I had a bad day today, took the 300 out in a gusty f3 and capsized on top of an albacore, ripping my sail! its a right mess! The problem is i only had an insurance claim 2 weeks ago! I dont want to take the piss but what do you do???

Hopefully Mr Noble will be understanding! and even moe so at renewal time!
