Working on the speed sails stand meant I didn't get much time to walk
around the show but I had a quick chat with Mike Cooke (really nice guy)
from Aardvark technologies and I'm completely taken by his moth and his
prices are far more reasonable than the other 2 moths at the show so I think
i'll be throwing some money his way

Chris, did stick your thieving blue tracking card, sorry oyster card out?  They only stop for Ken's corrupt empire cards.

I didn't go, as I required back at home for that weekend. Something about slave labour... sawing branches off trees, with a cr@ppy handsaw whilst in the tree etc.  Next year I AM GOING.

Doug - Think I saw / chatted to you on the speeds stand ( 4 of us, looking at the D12 / Excel - Reaslised it was probably you about 10 mins later when I realised you mentioned you used to own a Musto ( It was a slow day for me mmk? ))

Chris - Saturday. It was leaving from just oposite the train station. Was a white coach, and there were people in yellow High Vis jackets with signs all around the aea. ( And the coach had "dinghy show" (or words to that effect ) in the window )

Last time I went in 2001 there was a free shuttle bus from the bottom of the hill by the railway station.

Yea that was the bus I saw but had no sign on the windows, and we were standing there but they didn't stop, twice so we just got the W3 up. Quite a clapped out old looking thing?

Boat of the show - the 14 on the Harken stand. Thought the fit out was superb - many congrats Bov!

Also liked one of Topper's boats! The orange 14ft cat - thought it looked quite cool.

It is suprising how different a 505 looks when it is given chines (the Alto). Is the 505 still in copyright, do they have to pay John Westall's estate? And was that a Tasar deck?

Nice to be able to compare three different Moths - really like the Aardvark one.

Love the North sails on the B14 and the Blaze.

The Weta was the best looking of the tri's.

Anyone else notice the hole in the new Morrison 14 on the Ovi stand? Ouch!

Conspicuous by their absence (as far as I could tell):

470, 59er, Snipe, Bosun, Lark, Laser 4000, Flying Dutchman, NS14, Hornet, Laser 2, Lightning 368, MRX, Norfolk Punt, Pacer, Squib, Wineglass, 12ft skiff, 18ft skiff, Javelin, Boss, Laser 5000, A Class, Shearwater, Cadet(?),

Hornet, Squib & Lightning were definitely there and I think I saw a Cadet on a stand somewhere too.
