hmmmm, excuses....
my excuse is that i had forgotton how horrible it is to hike in a laser compared to trapezing or hiking from the 200 and i haven't raced a laser in aaaaaaaages.  Congratulations to ratface though, he and radixon raced a lot better than i did today, it started bad and got gradually worse for me

Well not going to say much apart from I went to the Bury Lake Young Mariners Laser Open.

Was great, wind, sun and a few forum members.

But have to say, if Ratface (James) can get out of bed late, come down, rig a pathetic Laser and still come where he came, then WELL DONE!

As for me, I beat Villian (James) and DaveL and they had newer boats than me.

Lets wait for the excuses to come this way!!

Here here although i sailed an rs 700 for the second time and it was nice with the kite up even in a force 2-3. Mopps will agree with me as he got a blast in a musto too.

I had the best sail yet, including a near-as-dammit airborne gybe! The gybe bit was in the air but it dipped back into the water just after, but my god it felt good! Foiling upwind was great, and for some reason more consistent than the downwind stuff.

Anyway that was the last sail for a bit, it's now at home awaiting a refurb - foil control cable to be replaced with a rod, more powerful sail controls, new ropes, repaint etc. So as of tomorrow the living room will gain an 11 foot coffee table!

I've have just got a job thanks  But luckily it was only the very end of the halyard that broke, someone kindly gave me a new mainsheet and i can replace the buckle in the exact same way as the other one myself So not too expensive
