Smight, better get a job quick to pay for the damage if you havent got one already!! I took the 200 out on Friday with my crew (the other half!) for the first time Was a laugh, nearly sank it without the cockpit bung in (not the bouancy one!). Must admit though was blowing a F3-4 and gusting up from that! |

Sounds like my weekend, lost a shackle on the vang on the 1st race, luckily i had a spare shackle in my boat so replaced it between the racing, but then had the bottom 2 foot of my sail come out of the mast track in the second race. All this in a force 2 maybe 3 at times! |

Not the best of sundays for moi. Shredded the main sheet, a buckle snapped on my trap harness and my main halyard went while going up wind

I was out this weekend at Bough Beech. The final 2 races of their Icicle Series was well attended with 36 competitors in the morning and 29 after lunch. Andy Peake on an MPS won the series followed by a 200, a Contender and then a Wayfarer. I was 9th in a 4000, and there were boats rangeing from a Topper to a 49er but there were a total of 102 which had taken part at some point in the competition. There had been quite a variety of winds from force 6-7 down to a bit of a drift. Today was medium in the morning and a bit lighter in the afternoon. This series is good practice for the forth coming season with the confined waters putting a premium on boat handling. The starts are tight and because they always use a committee boat you always get a good beat. This afternoon's beat was probably a kilometre long. This coupled with the comfortable clubhouse and good food means this is already in my calendar for next year. Can we have some more 4000s please. |

Yea true, I'm not sl*gging it off or anything, I think its great just my first thought was a bit steep, but didn't think how cheaply you can pick up the boat to go with it I love the 600 its a great boat, got me into helming on the the wire and was good fun for a short while (if I started again I reckon I would find it fun again), and one thing is for sure, really sorts you out on the boat balance front!! |

I doubt there is a huge profit, it must take mhuge ammounts of money to develop the foils and especially making some to fit a "Heavier boat" and make it fly, which they have done with superb success. £2500 is plenty of cash but when you fit them to a £1500 600 you have got a very fast foiler for £4000 now that is cheap! and of corse it can carry a bit more weight then a moth! |

£2500 gets you a lot of kit IMO and I would even go as far to say it's value for money!

I was one of the ten lifting it out! And then my finger did the silly thing where it curls up tight all the way and I cant wilfully straighten it! Only seems to happen when I have been holding onto a daggerboard for a long time! |

Twas a 49er. I was rolling a sail on the shore, heard a sickening crunch and looked up to see them tangling. |
