and I'm sure I'm not.. Just because I didn't look it up first? I started a discussion about what I have heard, I don't spend all my time research what I am going to talk about. From what I had heard it sounded like we had a good chance at the olympics so I asked what others thought.. OK I got the 470 team wrong but isn't it pretty safe to assume if you win the worlds you would be the team chosen for the olympics?

I'm sorry if I don't get all my facts right straight off, I'm not a perfectionist! All I do is give an opinion on this forum and I get abused for it..

Sorry I got the 470 team wrong and sorry I didn't look up the womens sailing and the other classes, I don't follow them, so sorry I got that wrong too! Everyone makes mistakes!

Couldn't find it so obviously didn't look hard enough. Think that was the only one I got wrong though?

Debates kind of dead anyway considering what Qingdao is like in terms of weather...

I assumed they would be by winning the worlds and all.. But I was wrong.

Quick bit of research done then! in the Yngling we have Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson, but they have dropped from #1 to #4 in the ranks

 

chris can I bet my boat on Nick and Eliot not medaling?

I think Team GBR should be top nation again.

We should competing for the gold medal in the Finn, Yingling, Laser, 49er no question.

Tornado, laser radial and 470s hopefully should get us close to a minor medal or 2.

The sailing runs all though the games starting on the 9th August with medal races due from 16th onwards. The last 3 days 22nd, 23rd & 24th are reserve days which will probably be needed.

Unfortunatly Goody seems to of blown his chances in the Laser Worlds.

Feva was a young man with too much time on his hands. He made about 1000 post a week some useful others not. However, he was never rude, offensive or aggressive as a consequence he eventually became the forum scapegoat (whipping boy) and disappeared.

  so the moral of this sad tale is:- try and get it right but if you don't, own up but don't let them push you around

 

Isn't Qingdao prone to sea mists as well
