I will be sailing on a river but will have alot of wind as it is right by the sea. It will be moslty be using it but somtimes will have my sister with me. the club i am joing have a good fleet of both boats. Probably looking for a single hander but with speed and fun in it.

From a personal opinion, the Topaz hull is a truly horrible bit of design- very uncomfortable. And having seen a Tres in action a fair bit, they are dog slow for the effort put in. Avoid! Avoid!

Aside from my Topaz allergy, things that would help for advice would be:
Rather personal things such as height and weight.
What sort of place you intend to sail (river, lake, estuary, sea)?
If you're already in a club, what sort of boats do people your age/stature/ability sail? It really helps your sailing to have other people around you sailing the same thing.
Are you more interested in single or double handed sailing? From what I can figure of the new RS to be launched at the boat show (and I may be wrong) it seems to be some sort of admission that the Feva's really best as a double hander, not a single. I may be wrong. I intend to investigate.

i have been interested in sailing for about a year now and i have got my level 2 in RYA courses. I want to but a boat and have narrowed it down to 2, the RS Feva Xl or the Topaz uno race plus (or the Tres) i quite like the RS but i don't know which one. Any advice thanks.
