More to the point the Australians are holding the Worlds and if people are travelling all the way to Australia to compete, they like to give them a few events to play with.

Wasn't there a vid in this thread somewhere of a laser with a kite. I seem to remember it lasted about 10 seconds (the laser mast that is) suprised the opi lasted. Unstayed rig and kite

Lol, yup - our plans of the 6ft skiff have gone a bit on the very back burner!!! Perhaps ill end up wittling somthing together and lob it in my 12's box trailer! haha!!!

We put an asmy on my mates moth a few years back, and my scorpion has an asmy kite (up for sale for any nutters).

That oppies cool - if only mine had a kite when I was a nipper, may of made it bareable to sail. Think that rig needs some caps tho

what a machine. shame there wasnt more wind when this was filmed. would have been quite a spectacle seeing 9 on trapeze trying to gybe that thing with that enormous kite in a f5/6

Isn't it nice to see the next generation of forumites  Been seen before matey but still a good vid. I'm sure they managed to gybe it when they had at least 9 crew members
