Not really a surprise result. It would be interesting to see the same again in rougher conditions as watcheding a foiling kite boarder the other weekend off calshot he was having trouble with catching the tops of some of the waves.

Not sure if I posted this at the time, but the kite vid reminded me, it's our annual club ship race (A pub called the ship gives us prizes and runs a bar b cue on the beach) from our club a few miles along the coast to Sandgate, this film gives an interesting perspective, shot by one of our kiting members.

He wasn't alone. Fortunately, most of the boats who found the shallows had lifting foils. I did smile when I looked back and saw a Vortex sailor standing in knee-deep water and uttering expletives towards his stricken steed!  Smile

I hope the Canoe survived unscathed?
