I am currently racing 29ers around the circuit and i am getting top half finishes, however i am finding it a struggle to get a crew that is to the same ability as me and that is regular. I am 14, and i weigh 58kg. But i am feeling a move out of the class into a single hander, what boat do you think is suitable in a reasonable price range of around 4k that i can race on a national level. I know i can do alright in 4.7/radial but is there any other options?

Hi Paddy
Have a look at both the Aero 5 and Zero with the small rig.
Also the Farr 3.7 if you want to trapeze.
Good luck

A question like that does make you realize that at youth level 2 handers are better served than singlehanders for those who want to go fast. Real shame the Light Skiff never joined the Musto.

I guess if winning/tight racing is what is wanted, the Topper certainly provides it, but it can't compete with the 29er for thrills, can it?
