Have seen this argument used before and find it mildly condescending. It's a forum, people dip in and out all the time and comment when and what they want.That's it, there's no compulsion to do any more. Just because someone doesn't start threads doesn't mean that they cannot make a relevant comment.
Also just because a comment disagrees with something doesn't mean a thread is " shouted down".

If this had been a 'spoil war' the like of which we used to see on the kite forums and I was running RS, by now I'd have had so much footage up there of 'staged' incidents of D Zero's going down the mine, graunching the little wobbly bit off the bottom and a whole host of other 'accidents'. That's the sort of response a prolonged and targeted attack precipitates, stuff escalates, I'm surprised 'they' have been so mellow about it all. Leaving a few of their dedicated supporters to do their best in the face of the onslaught and onslaught it has most definitely been and I'm not targeting 'Null' in this or Turn turtle particularly there have been loads of little piranha style 'nibbles' all chipping away. If the handicap hadn't already turned me off, what has been going on here and on Facebook is beyond boredom, beyond the normal class protectionism from the yardstick brigade, and don't even say irony, its just damned green eyed malice, not at all nice.

And the stupidity of it all, neither of them can supply the demand. Instead of seizing the moment joining forces and broadening a new market for light modern Una rigs and demo and eventing together, the one side is just determined to bitch about the other - so pathetic so very pathetic.
