The quote was by the KST character: 'American' then 'slut'. So yes, it could apply to a flash boat that doesn't like going to windward. But we don't know that it doesn't, only that they haven't demonstrated that it does. Yet.

Well yes of course it may well be demonstrated to go upwind like a demon and the Speed Dream 27 may be the fastest thing on water this century.
 But I can easily form a bigoted and uninformed opinion based purely on the appearance and colour scheme.
