	I bet there's a lot of folks would be very happy to pay a great deal of cash out to get the kind of sales success and market impact the Mirror achieved, certainly a sh*tload more than £70 !!

	But you had to put it together yourself. What would £70 be now? When were Mirrors allowed spinnakers, and when did people start hiking like ninjas? OK, there was little wind, but I got the feeling that gentle perching would have been about it for keeping them flat?

	70 quid in '64? I was still at school, earning about 14 bob a week doing a paper round, but by the late sixties I was earning £12,(66) then out of apprenticeship 25 quid a week, (69-70)so it was less than an average months wage, inflation hadn't really cut in then, that came in the seventies and by 77-8 a Laser fetched about 600 quid and the first windsurfers were £475 ish
