The flying phantom has done its first long distance race which was a bit of a walk over really. But on the video there are a couple of points where they are with the others and they go to foil and the acceleration is amazing.

That is astonishing ! It looks as though it is a seaplane taking off and gives a greater impression of speed than mono hulls. Why is that then? Superb

Seems like a slow day on the forum and I'm not sure that the full version of this has been posted before.
The Contender Worlds at Lake Como last year. Definitely my favorite event and interesting to see the variation in hull and sail options in such a tight fleet.
