AN OLYMPIC level sailor will be helping
business sail at the third Free2Network Business Conference on Friday, February
1 in Llanrwst.

Laser class competitor Chris Russell
will be sharing his story with over 200 businesses from across the region.

Chris narrowly missed out on competing
at London 2012 but will share his journey to Rio 2016.

Chris will discuss his Olympic campaign
experiences, how he and his team operate, and how there are lessons and skills
which are transferable between the top sport and the business world.

	His LinkedIn profile is pretty sparse. As you say Ogilvy seems to be his main backer and employer.

	If they really have handed over any cash.... that's a lot of logos on that page, easily right clicked, sdave image as from their owners websites. Having been involved with sponsorship in the past (pre-recession), that's a lot of deals he's converted.... so very well done if it's genuine. His background appears to be with Ogilvys, so who knows, perhaps his Linked In profile would be more telling about his networks and connections....

	To be honest I think he's a very clever bloke. If you had the skills and determination to convince multiple big bucks sponsors to fund you to follow around the Laser fleet at all the world events then you'd be pretty happy with life and somehow this guy has managed it. I'd say the Muppets in all of this are the company representatives who've handed over cash to a no-hoper.

	I would love to understand the psychology of someone who can do this. There must be some special reality filter on his brain. Is this what happens with the young tech savvy generation? Reality and virtual worlds are all a bit of blur....???
