Re solo sailors.
There are only two sorts. One type spend £250 on a boat and the other type who spend £8000 plus. ![]() |

mine wasn't anything close to 8 grand once I'd negotiated it down a bit... and the ex-works rider boats are usually sub-6. Given that these have been bedded-in, and the boat verified to be quick, a good example of one these is a very sensible choice.
There's actually very healthy competition between solo manufacturers. The Solo is an exceptionally run class at every level and by all participants- it will be a difficult foothold to break for any new one design coming out. Edited by yellowwelly - 12 Feb 14 at 1:11pm |

Simple, I want laser like sailing experience but with a better, more controllable rig. |

that makes a lot of sense - one I actually share with you. Having not sailed the production D-Zero, I won't write it off as not delivering on that objective just yet. Let's get a demo boat up to the midlands and go for some beers and a curry afterwards?

I am up for a Midlands based Demo day and curry Jimbo. I would be happy to liaise with Rodney and Dan to arrange it at some point in the not to distant future. Hell im sure i could even bring a D1 up for you all to try.

Not sure either party would be up for that Blue One, as i said i would happily arrange for a bit of a Devoti Day at a Midlands based club, subject to Rodney's and Dan's approval.

do you think you could tack something together at Oxford SC Russ? Or maybe Time Lord could host at Banbury SC?

Was not serious with that one Russ. Did not mean at the same time or even place.

Why not a full Devoti test day with the Finn and D-one as well? Enjoy a full range of quality boats. |
