The speed record holder was a different boat, whilst loosely based on the same tech, but had a simpler two element wing I think and the hull was the "tri-scaph" of two planing hulls in a row to leeward and a windward crew pod. |

Roger's been delving into the same photos as me! Here's the canoe, a Jack Holt boat.

Ah, lovely. Conquest: Jack Holt designed and built hard chine Canoe. Still sailing of course, and a sign of the new generation ready to supercede Mr Fox...

Here's a nasty one...
![]() This is Cunningham/McKeon/Daddo's last C Class LAC entrant Yellow Pages/The Edge being recovered after the capsize which was to cost them not only the 1996 LAC, but also take them out of the event, since they didn't think they could raise the budget to challenge abroad. In the end they were to (successfully) go in for speed sailing as mentioned above. We'll get to the winner, Steve Clark's very successful Cogito, which took wing design another step forward, in a couple of months, assuming the thread is still going. You beat me to it Roger!
Another angle on Pegasus no. 48 though I'm wondering why the crew wasn't out on the wire
