Doh, I forget, complicated humour needs explaining here..
Fish Ear = Gills, yes I know they are not ears, but they are in the spot where the ear would be, so it becomes a joke, that you have to work out in your head, we windsurfers do this sort of thing all the time to make each other laugh.
