Ending the year in true traditional style - with an argument over py and the sail juice series. Me, I'm still miffed I didn't get into the Monkey, gets me away from too much enforced jollity. |

But you didn't turn up GRF - surely you need to be in it to win it, by which turning up is a starter?
Personally I don't think the Great Lakes adjustment was that far out, B14 GBR791 did really well over the weekend and finished in the target placings where they thought...so is that wrong - and that's taking a 20 point hit!

I have a tough enough time with a Laser on it's standard handicap, I'm certainly not going to hitch up that trailer, pay a hundred quid tank of gas, plus the entry fee to have my arse handed to me in even greater measure by more Lasers.. You forget I'm sailing a boat that is ignored because there are not many of them so not enough stats.
Or I'd show up in the Alto which they'd also penalise for whatever reason they give to penalise new stuff, or I'd be last away in the V twin if they ran a pursuit, so seriously what on earth would I wish that on myself for? |

Come on you're a free thinker and experienced enough to know if you sailed well or not; what would you care what the results are?
Whatever system is in place or you devise, sailing different classes of boats together has so many variables the only reason to do it is the best one of all. Because you enjoy it

I was chatting to one of the guys at Hunts who went to the flyer.
He said he had a lot of fun but is somewhat disillusioned with the results. He said initially they had him down as being in the correct place in the pursuit race. Then through one iteration they had moved them and in the final version they are down as DNF. He said this did sour the event somewhat and would definitely make him think again about attending a future event.

Hi
Happy to receive any further results queries at info@sailracer.co.uk. If your Hunts colleague could make themselves known we can look into the query with Datchet SC Cheers |
