So, as we approach some dates that might be "magic numbers" for classes, double points for any of those classes that also have those digits in their sail number. BUT, I shall allow larger numbers including the date - if the class has the required number in its name. E.g 140 for an int 14.

Sadly, the DC 10 doesn't have a sail insignia, but as I'd looked it up, I thought I'd post it for all of you who won't have come across this beauty...

The Flying Scot is an American keelboat in the Flying 15 style, if that is the one you are talking about? Saw them in Virginia once, and a very posh, very friendly sailing club on a lake anyone in the UK would kill for. The bar was members only, so despite having only popped in to have a gander, we were bought drinks all afternoon, and were invited to sail - sadly an offer we couldn't take up.

Hi everyone,

I have an old book containing sail insignia and the 'FS' (identical) is shown as a 'Flying Scot'.  Here are some details of the 'Flying Scot':

http://www.flyingscot.com/flyingscot.html

http://www.fssa.com/content/history-flying-scot  (third paragraph)

It may be a 'red herring' as the modern boats have a different insignia but I suppose that it could have been amended, over time, as the boat in the photograph is obviously very old with a very early sail number and a fully battened main sail.  Just a thought that's all.

P.S. - It does look like a catamaran though with a catamaran type main sail.
