of course they do.  You can call 100 sailors (current and old) muppets for any number of reasons, but we do/did at least stick our sail numbers on the sails in the correct order.  Wink

Ha ha.

you forgot to point out that Luca employs a hareem of Persian virgins to stick the sail numbers on for you on a D-One....

For me the sad thing about this whole mess is that there are obviously pots of happy 100 sailors out there (still question if there are 400 of them mind) and I can't see how the whole process has benefited any of them!

I was just being flippant.

Having just bought a 100 this thread has some pretty useful info in it for a new 100 sailor. Unfortunately it, like many of the threads on the forum, has spiralled (degenerated on some pages) on to some very tenuously related topics compared to the original topic.

That's not a dig at you personally btw just an observation from a someone just starting to post rather than lurking for years.

I had enquired about hiring a boat whilst out here but Menorca sailing don't do hire only courses/holidays. The other option was hire a laser pico locally but that wasn't worth upsetting the wife over.

Good luck and enjoy the Menorca sunshine, it's stunning out here!

Good to hear... I'd better dig out that SPF50!

I would I had to use the kids sunblock a couple of days and I am not even out on the water!

I think given that there is a bucket load if 100 sailors and owners of the rs business posting here. Your post hardly airs on the side of 'fairness' but there you go.

Fancy that given the thread title...  Wink

Didn't they start at 100, so if they are in the 400's now then that's about 100 boats a year which sounds about right given they sell globally, and the time it took for production to even deliver the first fifty, it doesn't mean there are necessarily any more than about fifty or sixty in circulation in the UK but I'd be surprised if it was less.
This it the fourth year of production and we're in the home market, a bigger market than perhaps the D1 enjoys if it is the comparison with the D1 which is in consideration, for all their faults, I think it is in everyone's interest that RS continue to succeed. They may churn out mediocrity now and again, but on the whole they back their play with consumers, have a good customer service record, run events (even though they make the mistake of timing out their sponsors)and are a beacon of near professionalism in a business of cottage inefficiency so to be fair this probably isn't the thread to be having a go at them anyway..
