Went down the (sea)sailing club on monday, perfect conditions for windsurfing, 25kts clean easterly wind bright sunshine - not a soul about, checked my UJ it looked a bit dodgy, so didn't go out, didn't fancy being the only idiot out there with broken kit - I'm getting old,it wouldn't have stopped me ten years ago.

weather forecast at home max 4C and cloudy by lunchtime, weather forecast at club 7C and staying sunny - should be a no-brainer but helm wasn't convinced. Finally managed to get us out sailing for the first time this year and both enjoyed it!

A combination of new boat, fun crew and perfect weather (or at least wind). The best sail I can remember having outside of a championship! Still grinning like a madman!

despite the variation in wind strength (1-25knots) and the shiftyness of the wind (three 180degree shifts inside two minutes(while blowing 15-20)) one of the best days sailing so far this year, probably due to it also being the first sunny day

Against the odds, a good sail and most importantly not cold - unbelievable given that I was chilling down just walking along the beach to the club.

Not enough wind for a 3k by the time the tide-with-wind had taken a couple of knots out of it (that's an apparent wind effect, GRF), but good to be afloat again after what seems an eternity.

The season is here; life begins again; wonderful.

have been out loads lately and now will be out everyday this week.  Admittedly not sailing, but sitting in a powerboat observing a course....

out most days next week too, running an Assistant Instructor course.
the same, but different...

On Sunday I raced. Wind was shifty and gusty on the lake. Was great to get out when others were cancelling racing.
