to be fair to the v-twin when i sailed it i had a few thoughts about it which were.
when i first got a board it was to stable, i was actually slightly unerved by the stability of it weird comment know but used to boats that have round bottoms and wobble. when the wind was light it didnt feel particually fast i spent most the time on the hull. it was a walk a cross to the otherside not to dissimlar to a 49er in terms of distance.
when the wind got up a bit the pwoer did turn on and i was on the rack hiking upwind nicely and she felt lively. then downwind despite the width and length was quite spritely with the kite.
is it a boat i;d want to sail probably not but that is based on the performance across the wind range in breeze great fun in light winds not great but it isnt the only dinhgy in the world like that.
could be better in some ways but if iGRF got it right first time then clearly he has spent too long doing the wrong job

Spot on that man. The V-Twin with a bigger rig on board and someone to help iGRF drive it properly would be a hoot I think. Looks like it would whizz along nicely |

The point is it comes across as ill informed, you sail a laser,
which in design terms is conventional. Your comment, about an unconventional,
potentially innovative dinghy that you haven’t sailed just seems to be an angry
reaction to something you don’t like. It might not be good for you but iGRF clearly sees something
in it, it does plane after all! |
