The ETNZ rib has 1200 bhp on the back and can do 58 knots. I think they will be ok Wink

Tornados can reach speeds like that , nothing ground breaking yet other than its a huge moster to be flying , 

Not sure rescue boats having to travel at same speeds is a requirement anyway , chase boats for filming , umpiring yes, but plenty of boats capable for that .

Infact remember as a youff was in awe of icarus , a foiling tornado , which was pretty much perfected, but not really any faster than a standard boat , heady recollections can be vastly wrong however .


Still if they can get an ac 72 flying still hope for my lardy ass

Surely the point is moot. They are going to race on a 3nm course, they can afford lots of rescue boats, generally, when requiring outside assistance, you are no longer travelling at 35 knots...

35 knots....That is faster than the rescue boats at my sailing club! Where do you sail?
