Harry Worth.....you mean the comedy actor who was not funny? Now that is an achievement!

I had surgery on the NHS to correct rotator cuffs on both right and left shoulders and survived!

Not any old NHS Surgery but at the Army Hospital in Frimley, carried out both times by Professor Colonel Jon Clasper, Defence Professor of Trauma and Orthopaedics, Academic Department of Military Surgery and Trauma (ADMST)

Right shoulder arm strapped to chest for a month and then painfree but took 6 months to be able to touch my head (right shoulder was a complete mess apparently)

Left shoulder full mobility within a month but pain for 6 months (apparently no where near as bad as right)

Clap  Yay to the Military/NHS

There used to be a shop opposite where i worked which sold mainly fishing gear and basic groceries. One day I went in there to buy milk for the office coffee and whilst most of the shop was taken up with Rods, lines, camo gear, seats etc. there was one wall dedicated entirely to top shelf magazines..........................

Now I know what goes on in those little tents Confused

ps On topic, I worked in the Cowes week regatta office in the 70s in the days when each boat had to sign off after the days racing. I got Ted heaths autograph.

My Grandma got me a copy of Ted Heaths sailing book which she got signed by him, I haven't lost that one.
I sailed through the gap in Clevedon pier after it fell down in my Int.14 and got disqualified from the race, many years later I went on the restored pier and as I paid for my ticket mentioned it to the lady who was selling them. She looked at me and said yes, she remembered and that I should be ashamed of myself. I wasn't but did not dare to tell her, she was a bit scary.

Ah well, if we are getting off sailing...

Princess Anne once looked at my sheep when I was showing it.

[thinks, even GRF shouldn't be able to miss an open goal like that]

Ted was definitely an old tart as my Mum got her copy signed too, in Cowes.

I went to the same school as Ted Heath (but not at the same time).

Hey Dan, you were born on my parents 10th anniversary. Actually, that reminds me of a game - take nine months off your birthday to see when you were 'made'. Nine months before I was born was my parents' 5th anniversary. My best friend at school was born on Sept 25th - reckons his dad was Santa.
