Following on from the bucket list thread, how about all those things that would have been on the bucket list if you hadn't already done them?  This is unashamedly a chance to brag about how good/lucky/attractive/succesful you are....  So, as a start:

1) I have been paid to crew an 80' yacht round Sydney harbour
2) I spent a season instructing at Minorca Sailing
3) I pitch-poled a Hobie mid gybe because I got the tiller extension stuck up the (female) crew's shorts.
4) I have a camper van
5) I once overtook Andrew Simpson at a laser open.  (He then overtook me again...)

1. I sailed at a Laser 2 World Champs at Sarasota in '95 when it was a BIG class.
B) I won the Owen Aisher prize at the NSSA.
iii. At the '03 Spitfire Europeans I had probably the most enjoyable sail of my life on the non-racing day, when we en-mass sailed from Netley to Ryde for ice creams, and had the most incredible sunny day, F4, blasting across the Solent sail back.

1)I taught Sting to Windsurf.
2)I once lectured Nick Dempseys Olympic Coach on sailing tactics.
3)I beat Fred Heywoods (and Crossbows)speed record (a big deal at the time) sailing with a rig I designed myself first time out. (So did loads of others on production kit)
4)I got banned a couple of times taking the piss out of dinghy sailors on an internet forum.. Wink

As this is a thread for gratuitous showing off I think every point on peoples list should be justified with proof - otherwise it never happened.

So heres mine:

I sailed to and around the Med this summer on a Volvo 70 with yachting legend Giovanni Soldini.

My video proof

In all fairness though video cameras didn't exist when grf was doing those things and I doubt that cine8 tape is still in existence
Everything I say is my opinion, honest

Clap That's a genius bit of video: "Have you seen the....whatever?"

Does the showing off have to be sailing related?

I once finished the Great North Run in a very good time, jogged from the finish line to the still-empty beer tent, used the fiver i'd pinned to my shirt to get a drink, stepped outside and said: "Piece of Pi**!" - as the bloke standing next to me vomited, collapsed and needed St John's attention.........

Sailingwise? - apart from some immense capsizes I can't really think of much LOL
