Then I'd suggest that you've never been in a club race with our FF fleet. One of them bollocked me for roll tackinng last year...
Rodney: I'd love a go in your Finn at fed week. I might be moving house the week before so it's touch and go as to whether I'll make it for the whole week or just a couple of days but I'll do my best to see you there. |

Just don't worry about them, they probably have a bad time at work and home, just invite them for a discussion on rule 42, that sends most to sleep. That said, first race in the Nationals last year Chris the umpire had me just as I crossed the finishing line, so I had to go back against the tide, do my turns and refinish, lost lots of places, but who cares, live life on the edge?

'FF' took on a whole new meaning when one of them T boned my brand new Finn at Dinard some years ago! Due to other sailing related commitments the weekends before and after I will, probably, only be there Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If any other Y&Y forumites are around say hello! I can be found with the Finns before racing and, usually, in the bar after! Looks like we will have 20+ Finns sailing this year's Fed week so should be fun.

Thought the Finn had really grown in popularity when I saw 'Finn' trending on twitter this morning.
It was for Steve Finn the cricketer though!

Yes there are Finns in the North, 4 at West Riding, plus a few others spread across the North of England, with a Northern area championship. Or did you mean the real North, across the border in Scotland where there is also a good population and a very friendly fleet doing about four opens?

When Is Fed week? As there has been no Scottish Finn sailing to speak of it might be worth me travelling down. Just need guaranteed Champagne conditions to seal the deal. Would anyone loan/ charter me a boat to save a long tow down? Martin
