will rate the same as a fireball i reckon very similar to a bistro cherub converted to 2005 in the light but once the breeze comes along pops up nicely and gets going

Good looking model. I wonder whether it is quicker than the swing keel versions that you can get?

I think although its not conventional itll be a good laugh to try.

Brilliant, another eye witness!  How did it go in the race today? I expect it beat that Laser 2000 from last week, but more importantly how did it fair against the Contenders and the Blaze?  Just trying to judge how quick it is going to be.

Nice wind throughout the South East this AM, Force 3 or Force 4, a V Twin wind if there is ever going to be one I would have thought. Enough to power it up and break out of displacement but not so much that it would be unmanageable. I expect a very happy GRF any time soon.  Any sightings?

Someone already made the model:

Just what I need at the moment.  Should be out sailing but hurt my back coughing once too often during a really bad virus attack, dammit.

It is such a shame that dingies are the way they are......needing someone to sit on them. This makes them dificult to produce as scale models. Just think what cheap fun it would be  if a toy could be knocked up on the kitchen table to test theories before commiting to the real thing. Perhaps one of you clever chaps out there could think of a way of producing a little robot that would jump about and swear a lot......just like the real thing. I do have a particularly clever cat but I cannot find a wet suit to fit him.

+1!!

The sport and the industry has to try new things all the time just to survive.  Someone has to do it! Good effort going for something so bizarre! I personally wouldn't have the balls to do something this drastic, probably because i don't think it would work. I still dont think the V twin will work, although I would quite like to have a sail in it just to make sure!!

Enjoy the project, I bet you are having way more fun with it than most people are having in their production boats!

Ladies ladies ladies, lets have a sense of perspective here shall we, it's a bloody boat ffs.

Let's discuss 'hurt'.. When my dad died, that 'hurt', the first divorce about the same time, it smarted a bit, the death of my son was about the most painful thing a man can stand, my crew and my best man dying last year that hurt pretty bad, a couple of half ass trolls on the internet? If the thing is a total waste of time? In the greater scheme of things? Come on folks, lets get some perspective here shall we? This is trivia, it doesn't matter what happens, if it 's good, fine, if it aint, that's also fine, I tried, it didn't work out, I blew some doe that I would have had to give to the taxman to fund our fine politicians.

Now go,  be good people, get lives and stop trying to feel sorry for me, it really is nothing in the greater scheme of things, I think this thread is about done.
