I can't help thinking this is extremely similar to the V-twin? Correct me if I'm wrong but most of the design ideas are incorporated I believe.

A lot of similarities with a bit more professionalism on the part of their builder, I quite like it. I definitely want a jib like that.

Lots of whys here? Why have the rig so far forward? Why have the jib off a pole? Why not just build it longer?

Well, there's plenty of room for folk to sit without all that annoying boom coming over and making you duck sh1t going on.
The mast isn't as far forward as that D1, or that Finn thing. I'm going to move my mast forward immediately.  Got to say though I can't believe they haven't got massive lee helm like we had first time out.

I can see the point in many of the features of the boat, and it is good to see the scow idea coming back. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Mind, my eyes are telling me is is pig ugly...
