GRF - what angles are your racks at, relative to the water?

Gathering all the DS news together is a nice touch BTW

And another, when you're trying to haul a kite down that chute the lines are going to dig into those angles at the mouth.

having just got back from setting up the Farr 3.7 on the Spinlock stand and having a sneaky look around... all I can say is the ARUA looks beautiful, and a spectacularly well made boat. Just hope it doesn't get selected for the Olympics now, so mortals don't get put off buying 'em and thus creating a great class.

Can you pay for things by card at the show, or cash only?

Sometimes when sailing upwind on the sea waves have been known to come over the bow ...

With your design which looks much like the front of a topper all the water will be collecting in the sail Confused

The rs200 used to annoy me intensely the way the spinnaker chute used to act as a funnell for water to pour down in the chop in any sort of sea. Constant fore and aft trimming need to try and limit the effect. I had to say the gaping moth of the vortex funboat does look like it may take some water if it gets remotely near the bow. I will prepare to be amazed if t isn't an issue at sea.

Just back from the show. Thought it was excellent. Lots of impressive boats and products, and helpful stand personnel. Met some really interesting people too. Plenty of historic boats (GRF's firewood) and got the usual rope bargains. RS900 looks mental...

Well I had a good day, best boat in the show by far is the Aura, it's a beautifully crafted boat, with fabulous lines and carbon all round wrap racks, a new (to me) rudder system, interesting sails and spars, so much to like about it, I hope it succeeds for them.
The 900 was great, there were a few similarities in the layout with my boat, only done properly and finished the way it should have been. It does look a tad reminiscent of the 49er so not really that different, but some cool features nonetheless.

I'm on a photograph every sheeting and pulley system of interest in the show, mission so I've now got loads of ideas to consider. There was a half decent cat I liked the look of, (the rig bit not the cat bit) can't remember what it was called now, built by some eyties.

There was a well tricked out Cherub, a bit too green for my liking (green is unlucky at sea)but it was very tidy I spent a while admiring it which is unusual given it's a cherub.

The Alto stand was enjoying a brisk trade so I didn't hang around too long, had my soup and went off again to complete the mission. I studied the IC in a bit more detail than I normally do, now I'm beginning to get a grip as to what all the ropes and pulleys do, I think there's a distinct danger in overdoing it but I can see why and how it happens, they're very addictive.

Met and had a chat with demo donkey, he's lost weight, all that humping the D1 about has slimmed him right down, claims to have loss the equivalent of me in a week, I took that in the same vein as I did his praise of his fine boat.

I ran into Mark in the ailse and a couple of other windsurfing acquaintances, had a chat with Chris Turner, met a useful guy from B14 world who has some foot straps I need, and all in all had an excellent morning and left with loads of ideas and a lot more work and with a feeling of slight inadequacy when comparing my craft with some of the complexities of others, then that might not be such a bad thing.

If you are thinking of going check out that Aura, it is such a thing of beauty, i had to go back a couple of times, I so wish I'd asked them to do this v2 thing of mine they 'd have made such a better job of it.
