I just wanted to let you know your efforts and the time you have put into documenting your experience have been a great inspiration to me, I too have similar requirements and a design brief to yourself, however the dinghy I am designing and going to build approaches this from a completely different angle.

I've been sailing dinghies in the UK since the early 70's, took a break and windsurfed for about 10 years during late 70's and early 80's and have followed the industry closely hence I know your name and background well and have confidence in what you are attempting to achieve will succeed in one way or another.

Welcome to the forum of joy Paul and thanks for your kind words. It's not over yet instead of sailing in lovely sunshine and breeze up at Grafham I spent today messing around with surgical spirit and a hair dryer, removing logos and sail no's cursing my obstinacy at not just going with the rack covers I had. (Didn't like the colour and was worried about windage).
