... What came first, the cat or the mono? Now there's a question. Could see how easy it would be to make a floating platform, ala cat as opposed to getting the stability right on a mono when a dinosaur is trying to bite your head off. Mind you, big piece of wood floats pretty stable.

think we might be off track????? skiff a lightweight boat? noun from the french 'esquif' its just a generic term like the man says you could say fast asymmetric dinghy of just skiff; People will get the general idea of what your'e describing. Something light and fast

I reckon a well sailed 5oh could rattle an 800, but is a 800 a skiff? I'd say no.
