Charity begins at home my dear old daddy used to say.
![]() But if it meant some series producer got the wherewithal to build it in numbers and a proper class resulted wouldn't that be cool? Well actually come to think of it again er maybe it wouldn't, it would be locked down like all other boats subject to International regs and I'm sure there are loads more things could be done to improve it, I'm already thinking of stepped or 'pin' tailed hulls and I'm not even started on the rig yet. Running a bit before we're walking properly, I guess it's see where we are next spring and make our minds up then if that's in the rules..

You should let the highest bidder have a go then give the money to a charity ?

I hadn't even thought of that, I wonder, could I submit it? And how the hell does one go about doing it, it would be perfick for gals given it's designed for lightweights and wouldn't it be great if an Olympic type boat could be sailed easily by normal folk without it injuring them. Progress is currently stalled over a temporary disagreement over planned delivery schedules and cost overruns and I've been away again for meetings overseas. The Rolling Stones seem to have stepped in at some point and decided what colour it should be, but it does make it look a whole lot smaller, faster, leaner and meaner.. Getting back to that gal thing, what's needed now is someone independent to sail it to at least agree or disagree with my feeling that is something a little bit special, given I would think that wouldn't I? Anyway I've now got a tow vehicle at long last since my truck turned up last week after a wait almost as long as this boat, so if we do ever get it finished, on a trailer and final pricing agreed, I can at least collect it.

Was not Dan Holman sniffing around here today for a spare carbon mast.. even a broken one. Could be the new racks for the VTwin I am thinking.

Has no one read this story and put two and two together: "At the 2011 ISAF Mid-Year Meeting ISAF Council adopted submission M10-11 which confirmed a Two Person Women’s Skiff and Two Person Mixed Gender Multihull as Olympic Equipment. ISAF have released the initial request for proposal of equipment for both evaluations with trials likely to take place at a suitable venue in Southern Europe in early spring 2012." Surely grmph is now reading the small print and plotting how the ultimate sailing machine can satisfy both requirements. Expect an announcement soon. Gets my vote. |

I agree with Ruscoe, this is practically an online project in which every progress made, be it little or large, is interesting to follow and 'contribute' to. (excuse the pun about the logo earlier but I just couldn’t help myself) |

Also is graeme not using a commercial builder, which at a guess would be developing this for some kind of profit. Therefore i would hope pushing Graeme along slightly....?

Jim Please quit it with the Patronising sh*t, I am fully aware of development programmes. They were some of the main reasons i didn't see as much of my Dad as i would of liked when i was younger. But part of the Joy about Graemes prject has been listening to his ideas. I am just trying to egg him into posting something....

Oh get real people. A serious development program of something brand new takes bloody months unless you have full time pros and the backing of a large company. Because I was doing it out of my own pocket and my own spare time I spent *years* working up my PlusPlus, although I did mix a fairly serious Cherub campaign in the middle.
