Dont do that!!!! When the boy was at a sensitive age some wag wrote rude things down the sidedecks of his boat in surf wax and despite all attempts to remove it it still shows up......he isn't by the way.

Oh,doesn't it still need a coat of paint?
You're going to be popular GRF when they
have to try and remove the wax.

Well, it works..and some. Had a blinding sail in/on her today, the rig was balanced she took off downwind like a scalded cat with just the two sails, then when we flew the kite, it was breathtaking.

I watched from the shore later, as Ash the ex Vortex sailor  took it out, and he got one gust.. You can tell when somethings going fast from the spray off the wake, normal spray looks sugary, quite big broken bits, when it turns super fine as if it's been ionised, as it did this after noon, that is trucking.

He came back with an ear to ear grin, 'it's mental' off wind, scary fast...

We got it planing up wind, it has very definitive stages, you know when it leaves one rocker stage to the other, there's a definite leap forward, nearly threw me off the back the first time it happened.

I'm so excited, there's a few more glitches to sort, the jib cleat broke, the main sheet jammer is sticky. The kite is sweet as a nut, never had a kite go up and down so smooth. Never sailed a boat so stable yet super exciting. It's true what Jamie said, as it's so easy you're just going to push it harder..

It wasn't that breezy, probably about 12 -15 knots and I bet at times we were doing over 20..

She likes being sailed flat, but does respond as I'd hoped to a hull being lifted clear which is going to take a better main sheet jammer than we had. So now it's off to be finished and I've got a huge weight off my mind.

Great stuff! Glad to hear that, most importantly, you're happy with how it sails.
