Is it me or is it never on if you are lukey you will 15-30mins a week then they will repeat it for the next week or 2

No i care, sorry I didnt reply. Yeah its soo annoying that sports liek football get masses of coverage and sailng get as good as nothing, But I can se the point of veiw that there isnt a strict league style layout so that you can say that soandso is the best by somany points etc. but it would be good to have a bit more information on what is goin on. the thing is you cant have weekly updates other wise you will be jumping from one class to another each week, as the are rarely clases that sail events worthy of national television coverage, every week. Slowly we seem to be getting more sailing flitered through but it is mostly yacht sailing, apart from when the olympics was on. |

in aus they cover the 18ft skiff sailing they all of the grand prie events
all we get is a bit of kill boat recing if we are lukey |

'kill boat' lol yeah that is the good thing about having french TV as well they have more coverage of sailing, admitidly lots of keel boat racing. I think if we get to host the olympics then we will get more coverage based on the results of the sailing in the last olympics. |

Yeah but we are getting coverage now, I think it did realy start with 2000 so that this time round they were looking out for the sailors before the event started and not jsut looking back on it and going, oh there is this sport called sailing and oh we seem to have got some medals. They actualy set out to do a bit of coverage of the races leading up to the all important last races. So its improving. |

most people that don't live near the cost think that sailing is a sport where you just sit there and do nofing when i talk about it at school they say that is not a sport all you do is sit there and they think that you are just lasey if there was more on tv people would see how hard it is |

Yeh true but slowly people at my school are begining to believe it isnt that hard as every week i used to come in with bruises. lol I definatly think that more sailnig on TV would raise the awarness of sailing, but if it isnt filmed properly then it could lead to a boring bit of TV and put people of of sailing. |
