Atrocity - but why is it up to you to judge or criticise?

Having done a little bit of boat building and development I hope I'm not dumb enough to make any comments at this stage. Come back in 3 or 6 months time when there's enough development and enough sailing time to have a clue.

So, anyway,....
Personally speaking, I think with the right rig on it
it should meet GRF's design brief more or less.
The main one being that he can sail from Hythe comfortably in
a more or less upright position, at a reasonable pace.
Seems to me it is well on it's way to achieving that aim.

After all, which lunatic decided it was a good idea to have a 30 foot sailing boat
with a 44ft mast as an ideal boat for the Thames at Surbiton?
He would have got a right pasting on this forum. :-)

Keep on keeping on GRF... you are leading the way.

Please keep this thread on-topic. I've got better things to do with my time on a Sunday.

Edit: I've now gone back a few pages and deleted the personal spat - here's not the place, go on Jeremy Kyle. I for one am damn interested in watching the development of this. I think it takes one hell of a lot of guts to go out and create your own boat, and no small investment of time and money. Graeme's being very generous in doing this in the public eye and I would take my hat off to him if I wore one, but I look like an American trucker in a cap.

Design-wise I think the V Twin is much like the A-Class Scows in the states - take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-Scow . Nothing wrong in that.

Sorry if I offended, but I will not be abused, by persons that know nothing....

Looks like someone had a yearning for a fast stable craft based on windsurfing technology some time ago, nothing new under the sun ;-)
Aft view shows a feature that Graeme may have overlooked...bracket for an outboard!

The windsurf thing has been done over and over, there's a video of one going quite well, I've seen on one of the threads. Kind of difficult to fit a 19 sqmtr mast head kite to a windsurfer though..

I've been wrestling with my home broadband trying to get the videos up, but they're crap, the blogs updated, and there's a gallery Here, not sure if they're any better.

Good luck Graeme - persevere with the practical development and I'm sure it will come good.
