Is it happening as per the last blog update????
Also I havent seen the built in launch wheel in the transom for the single handed launch down the beach. I assume its still to be fitted

"tanning your slowmo 100 hide"

which, if it happened, would still prove precisely nothing worthwhile or interesting

does the pole rotate on a pin on the carbon collar or does the whole circular plate rotate with the collar? to me it looks like some structural failure waiting to happen as the loads through that point will be very high.

Wing wangs really only come into their own in displacement conditions, so plenty of time, approaching the gybe, centre the pole, then gybe, then wing wang the opposite tack if required on the new tack, chances are it won't be, if it's been needed one way it probably won't be needed the other. Or it's a dead run and you only use it on the one side.

As to Fab100, it wouldn't even fit on Frensham Puddle, so no point me coming up there and tanning your slowmo 100 hide, but you can rest assured you wouldn't be on the same leg of any given course we might find ourselves racing together on.. Wink

You omitted ...capsize, leap into water and pull down kite, unjam main and jib-sheets, swim around and struggle onto board,<scenario 1> pull upright and have hull land on head, get rescued <scenario 2> fail to right, get rescued <scenario 3> right without getting knocked unconscious, fail to scale mountain that is climbing in over the top as boat rights, get fish-hooked by one of mackerel fleet trolling past whilst struggling to get back in, get rescued

I wish you well GRF, I hope my cynicism is unfounded

Phone call I had on monday suggested wednesday as 'the' day with either Datchet or Calshot as probables, personally I'd sooner use Calshot, this is purely 'sea trials' to check positioning of stuff, see if it floats, check what does and doesn't work in whatever position it's in, there's a fair amount of unusual stuff going on you'll appreciate.  Looking at the last set of pics I had I can't see them getting it launch capable even in that time frame, but you never know.. If it goes and does anything half decent I shall be pleased, but at this point I'm not holding my breath for 'perfection' straight off the bat.

That might come later

Wish me luck...
