Singlehander for Teenage Boy

   Thinking about finding someting very cheap as something to sail when i can't get a crew for the 29er. I am 70kg, 15 years old almost 6ft any suggestions? Many Thanks

	how cheap is cheap? a laser radial would surely seem ideal at that height and weight, but if you want really seriously cheap you might have to go down another route such as a classic byte, an old europe or somesuch.

	Well anything will be considered if I can work out how to stretch my budget far enough, and ideally it would be something with a bit of pace since all I want it for is a laugh when I'm not sailing the 9er.

	Look on ebay and and find a rat boat that is you can beat some of the others on this forum to it first.

	Contender, im also 15 and 75kg and love my contender. Its such a blast and not boring. Wont take long for you to get the hang of either.

	Why not take the jib off the Feva and sail it with just the main, save your money for when you are 17 and want to buy a car. Trust me, it makes sense.

	Or a 600 - same speed as a 29er so you shouldn;t get board. You can find them for around 1,500 quid now (not really very cheap - but good £ to performance and at 70kg you'd have a ball.
	Musto Skiff and Solo sailor
