Craig,

Is she going green over the winter???

I won't be putting Hobbes back in till March, however Duncan is still sailing. I'll pass your number on to him. I know that you have a busy schedule for next season but you'd be welcome to do some sailing with us next year... There's a fair amount of knowledge that we could pass on to you that took us a while to work out - it's not a difficult boat to sail but it does have some foibles.

Chic,

Thanks for the reply. We're picking the boat up in a few weeks time and it's booked into the big shed at Fairlie for winter and will emerge in late March/early April. However, if there are any crewing spots on Pink Gin/Hobbes in the interim I would happily make myself available (07890 261 145).

Hi Craig,

Delighted to hear there's another 762 in Scotland...  You'll be part of an elite group, with you that makes the grand total of 3!

The third is 'Pink Gin', also based at Port Edgar and owned by our friend Duncan. I can put you in touch if you like, but Duncan has been working abroad for most of this season so we haven't seen much of Pink Gin, however he's now back for a while and will be racing her till late December when our season ends. Hobbes was craned out in September, I've been banned from sailing by my doctors until the new season, but for next year we have plans to do as much on the west as we can afford.

Kip and Scottish Series almost certainly, IRC event depends on whether or not the cupboard is bare by then...

Maybe you'd like to bring over the new Wildebeest to the Forth for an event later in the season - it might be possible to have all three 762's in one spot!

Hi all,

I've bought 7620 (The Big Purple) which will be coming up to Scotland and will be based on the Clyde at Kip Marina. She's going to be renamed 'The Wildebeest 2'.

Chic, I know you've had Hobbes across on the Clyde from time to time any plans for next year? We're doing quite a bit kicking off with the Sunbird Frostbite/Training weekend(s) in April at Ardrossan, the Savills Kip Regatta and Scottish Series in May and the Scottish IRC's in May/June (plus all the other usual weekends throughout the summer).

Would be good to hear from any other Projections north of the border.

Regards,

Craig

Filthy G was replaced by an 83 Artekno H323 , ( Big H boat ) , with a pretty good refit she has seen a good summer cruise to W coast of Scotland and pretty much cleaned up in the club racing in the late racing season . Still miss Filthy at times though .

Just in the midst of acquiring Humphreys 30

Also just took over the Marina Yard at Liverpool - Complete with 60ton  travel hoist etc.  Dry sailing from now on! It was never offered before!

Next year is the Liverpool Boat Show.  We have regattas and will have up to 50 yachts racing.  If the Projection fleet fancy it we will make it unbeatable on price!  I am Race Captain at LYC and if there is 3 or more we can make a class within a class?

Anyone interested?
