Someone asked the question about Nationals accommodation
last week.
There is no camping at the club with the nearest camp
site being at Rockley Park which is around 5 miles away!
Being in the centre of a built up area next to a fabulous
harbour does have it's downsides!
If you go to the PYC website and follow the 'regattas, accommodation' pages there is a list of potential
accommodation & links to Poole tourist information.

Don't forget Parkstone YC's regatta week is the week preceding the Nationals so anyone's welcome to come and
join in.

I plan to be there in my after sales capacity, I doubt if I'll find a boat to use though, and having only sailed one briefly the fear of humiliation might cause me to "forget" my sailing gear, or suffer an "injury"

Be good to meet up again with the fleet, I've said hello to everyone I can and met a few on site too (thanks for the kind words BTW, GRMF!)

It is the bridle from the stern, just wrapped around that metal sticking up
turret bit that houses the main sheet stuff. So in theory in light weather I
can just switch it back aft. (If it doesn't work as well in light winds that is.

Otherwise that's where I think it's going to remain, given the number of cock
ups the rear sheeting induces, it's removal will outweigh any performance
enhancement it might bring. I've analysed what's gone wrong in my windy
race spills and nine times out of ten it's the rear sheeting or its narrow
avoidance leading to unbalancing me during hoists and drops and such.
