Nice sail last night before packing the Lightning up ready for the Cotswold SC open. Beat all the Lasers on the water, which has become my main aim in terms of boat speed. Would have been better if the wind hadn't dropped between 7 and 8.30...by the time I'd finished packing away, a lovely breeze had returned.

its the joy of doing shifts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i start work at six in the evening and finish at ten past two in the morning.
have worked shifts of some kind all of my working life, you get used to it.

the down side is i dont see as much of my wife and daughter as i would like.
on the other hand it might explain why elaine and i are still married after twenty-two years!

Not sure I could do that - mind you, my children still work on the "I'm awake so you should be too" principle, so 4 hours sleep a night would kill me!

ex Laser - Thanks for your kind comments. To be honest I quite enjoy web design and development. Not as much as Sailing of course. But Glad this is on the right lines.

The next challenge is to support John Claridge, our new builder and build the Class. Hopefully the new web site will make a bit of a contribution, but we all need to support Lightning 368.
