I was on the RS100 stand at the same time as GRF and commented on how the DAKINE logo looked just right - maybe even enhanced the look of the boat. He agreed - strange that!

Neil Pryde gear was good, but they have an interesting marketing ploy. Exhibit a Race 5000 vest (Bouyancy aid) in black. But when you say "where can I buy one"?  Tell the eager customer - you can't - there are none in the country and we're not getting any more! Anyone know where I can get a Black NP5500 race vest?

Come on Dakine - get into the sailing market place and sell us some great kit.

I believe it was DAKINE.

sounds a dodgy outfit to me........!

Seriously the DK Speed Seat has been the harness of choice in our
household since the year dot. As a testament to the quality my brother,
all 100kg of him, took a full-on catapult at The Ray last year 46k to zero
in about 6' (seen on GPS) and the harness was whipped clean off over his
feet and left attached to the boom without any damage at all - pity the rig
did not fair quite so well !

On the Neil Pryde gear have to say it looked VERY nice at the Dinghy
Show, particularly like the front zip ss suit. However, as with everything
NP it comes at a price !
Not now Kato (you fewl) !

Aah the flux capacitor 1.21 gigawatts then.

Lightning strike.

Best Try Grafham then, watched a Lightning strike take out the entire fleet there one year, lucky me I'd gone ashore to
change sail.

Not so lucky a couple of years ago as I went in to avoid being hit by Lightning and got taken out, vaporised my specs, looked
and felt just like Luke Skywalker getting it from the Emperor..

Aye- saw (though I didn't try) a lot of the Neil Pryde kit at last years Neil Pryde B14 European Champs- very nice looking, but pricy!

The models looked lovely in it.
Needs to sail more...
