Easy GRUMPF! That's a terrible lisp you have in bold type. Sorry they haven't been able to squeeze the toothpaste tube to fill out the moulds quickly enough. But the good news is your new dentures are on their way to you right now. That's a preventative measure. Just in case anyone takes a swing at your hamstead.

Still think your the man for the job with all this info coming.I have an idea why dont you get some footage of you setting the boat up and sailing so everyone else can view your trail and error while learning. Good luck to you all with your 100s i hope the vareos will share some events with you in the future. |

God sorry I mentioned to AC - wont do it again !!!!
James, back to the interesting stuff....... Whilst the rest of us are killing time till the end of March (knitting, posting on AC forums (!), windsurfing (Yeah !)), would be really interesting to hear from you more typical settings / set up as you start to learn the boat. All of this is going to be very new for me personally but would be interested to know kicker / sheeting angle/ pointing or footing / centreboard etc. etc. Immediately following getting my boat (hopefully end of March) will be just before big local regatta and probably wont have had any time in the boat at all (probably rigging it for first time on morning of first race !). Hence any advice would help reduce the 'muppet factor'. Keep that advice coming. Chris |

I was of the opinion that the legal battles mostly went the way of the Americans, esp. the choice of venue. Also, imagine getting out to the Middle East venue, having BMWO tolerate the venue seemingly, sending out reps to talk to the other side about onshore facilities etc. and then having that dipstick American court jester turn it around, virtually in the last minute. Well, let 'em have the dammned thing and shove it. After all, the Americas Cup was designed for an American arse. The Swiss ARE European. We Brits can't cope with: the EU and being with it when it means responsibility, seing other European nations able to do with/without it. It fair makes me puke when I see what other "island apes" think about what was originally part of their heritage.

Hey James great you have your boat. Is yours the first customer delivered boat? Are there others now delivered along with yours? Just out of interest did I read that you are opting to tow with the mast taken apart? Is it easier than leaving assembled and laying in mast post as per normal. Cheers, Keith. |
