OK, the Tiger pulled it off last year, but if the current big winter events moved to summer, I'd bet that new winter ones would spring up in their place- and the events that moved would find themselves hit by event congestion, circuits etc. |

I agree with Peaky. The winter events are good for when there are no opens etc, but it would also be good to have a few in the summer too.

Did anyone notice weather the Tiger had better attendance last year.
If Steve hadn't gotten ill we'd have done it. The summer do's all tend to be this sailing week and that week, I think folk tend not to want to spend entire weeks in the UK as they might have done in the past. We're hosting the Man of Kent this year, whatever that means, it's some sort of mass dinghy bash not sure if it's one or two days, but we shall almost certainly party til we puke just for the heck of it on the saturday night. Do the usual things, hire in hookers, strip em naked and serve sushi off them... |

The Tiger last year was way down on the previous though, which had "sold out" way before the event.

I just don't sail in the winter, it's too old. Occasionally I've venture over to Grafham for the Grand Prix, but that's about it. |
