so windsurfers and a high tec high cost boat.
am just concerned how they are going to make it work on a lower cost boat.

Surely, what they are saying is that they will be having a tracked mast as people have asked for. Hence why the problem has been solved?!

the way i read it (and after looking at the picture) , is that they have found a way round the problem, so they do not need to use a tracked mast.

only time will tell who is correct.

I do like the near vertical stem. Maximise waterline and a fine entry, like a Merlin or 12.

I just downloaded the picture and enlarged it (clever of me). It looks as though there is no "rim" at the deck/ hull join?

D1, RS100, re-vamped Supernova and this - bring on the dinghy show.
Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

But there's no real need to maximise waterline length on a one design: just make it a bit longer if you want to. I think you get a much better entry with a spoon bow....
