Proctor also designed the Wildfire, which used lead shot in a hollow removable keel, but that was a 2 person boat, too.

Crikey, kick started my cerebral random access memory. Are
you sure the Typhoon had a keel. I'm pretty certain it was
billed as more like a mini FD, but then twas a long long
time ago

I think his Javelin was the mini-FD. I'm pretty sure the Typhoon had a keel but I'm willing to stand corrected by someone that is absolutely, definately positive! Had a quick Google but couldn't find anything.

It looks quite fun .. like having a 2nd persons weight with you but with none of the abuse you get from the fool at the front of the boat!

Might have to try one ... depending on the final sale price ..
