I have radio 1 on pretty much all day everyday, Moyles is brilliant takes a bit of getting used to but often entertaining, that cotton bird is awfull really really annoying normally put the ipod on for a few hours or make sure the sewing machine hides the noise of the radio, Greg James is alright in moderation but gets a bit dull towards the end of the week, Scott mills is either good or rubbish but you can normally tell if his show will be any good after 20 or 30 mins, Zane and Huw are my two favorites though.

+1

R5 to wake up to. R4 in the car (so the traffic kicks in) CD when the god slot comes on then back to R4.

R5 on the way home and non-sailing Sats.(Fighting Talk - most excellent)

Peel was the last music radio prog I diverted for.

Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

I agree about the Zipper Zane Lowe, he is a legend. I love listening to his show. Jo was OK in moderation but questions have to be asked about how far her head is up her own backside. No Jo, you didn't invent new music. Sit down.

Greg James was better on his early breakfast show. When I used to drive back from Devon to Derby on a Monday morning I used to listen to him. My favourite ever radio feature was when he used to do a guff into the microphone, and then get listeners to call in and guess what he had for dinner. Funnily enough, they never quite got it right. I guess he's had to fit in with general BBC mainstream stuff now so his show isn't quite so quirky.

Don't even get me started on Reggie Yates. Just because Andy Peters is your uncles doesn't mean you should pollute the airwaves with your crap. No, "peoples" isn't a real way of addressing anyone, and just because you are interviewing someone who normally hangs out on OneExtra doesn't make them your brother... homie.

Rant over... I'm glad I have the 12 disc changer in the car!

Isn't that a bit of a slur on Peaky's mum grumpf?   i didn't know you'd been around that much either If there 's any doubt, go on the Jeremy Kyle show dressed in your best Henri Lloyd, shout at each other and get a paternity test!

Radio 2... I thought that was only broadcast on a special

iPod is the way forward!

Agreed on Zane and Jo, and Greg James needs a swift poke in the eye......
no one likes a poke in the eye, NO one!

As for your comments on radio 2....... That describes quite accurately the
people I work with who demand that the rest of us suffer such a station.

The only answer is to not to turn on that ego centric drivel that counts as
early morning radio..and that includes Ross too, and his laughing hyena
sidekick.

The Wogan show wasn't about Wogan but the listeners and his comment
on them. The music he played wasn't that good!

IMO the only daily show to listen on Radio 2 is Radcliffe and Maconie

Radio 2 is currently - and has been for some time - the place to get new artists launched.

Radio 1 - PAH!!

When you find a big kettle of crazy it's probably best not to stir it - Pointy Haired Boss
