Yes, the Interdominions (the first ever "Tri-Nations" if you like) in Wellington, New Zealand. 28th December to 5th Jan.

There'll be live updates going onto a blog which'll be updated each day. There'll be a link from the 12ft skiff website to it.

Well I was thinking a 12 it a powerful boat, so I thought that shrouds help to stop the sails winning in the kite vs hull battle and without them the kite wins?

I think you're talking about bowsprit stays rather than shrouds?

If so, then without stays, the bowsprit needs to be considerably stonger, and all the loads are transfered to the bow liner, so you need to build the bow structure much tougher otherwsie the kite could indeed win.

Well I suppose if you stood it on it's arse with its nose in the air, it might look like that, and seeing as whenever I see Havoc, it's standing on its arse...

havoc never had any issues tipping in that way when it was down here. what is the story there?

keep pushing the crew forward. then push some more. then work with the elbow. there are lots of 12 with similar hulls/floors and ive never seen anyone go for a swim like that.
