Tim Forecast .... is that you had better go for the 'beer n pasta' diet if the Saturday forecast holds ! ... on either the sea or QMSC. Blag your way into Burghfield again and we really could do some Halo v D1 asessment Mike L. PS - perhaps Greame would like to come along as well |

It really pisses me off to see the only decent 300 weather we have for weeks and I'm off on holiday!!!
oh that and i have various parts of my boat missing currently!!! I think it may be best o have a forum get together sometime soon, perhaps with the D-one, blaze, halo and 300!! perhaps a Saturday blast round one of the M4 corridor clubs?!

That would be a blast, I'd be up for that. Finally get to meet you lot. The definitive Boat test, warts (that's us) and all. None of this namby pamby yachtspeak, if there aren't any cupholders we'll call it.. Heaven help any of them if they fall over with me in it. Would there be strong drink involved? Edit: Er 300? Why would we want the 300? Oh I get it, in case any of us need to speak to the great white telephone. Call Ruth Or Barbara. Edited by G.R.F. |

Don't give me that Merlinboy. You're always doing something else. You were doing something else while the rest of us were enjoying the best of the breeze at the champs! |

That was called work Steve, i have to save up for that carbon boom some how
Grumpf the 300 would have to be there to show you ALL, what a proper single handed hiker is!! In all seriousness we keep talking about it but it would be good to have a Y&Y get together/boat swap test day! |

Well - M4 corridor ? Easy access, Easy launching, etc etc. (and a good bar ...for all that apres sail BS) More than happy to see if I can help organise a multi single-hander gathering at Burghfield one Saturday (near J12) in the next few weeks. I'll talk with those who decide these things nowdays if there is support and a 'free' day. Its my home club and we do some of our testing there anyway (Halo, Blaze, etc), RS use it as a test-a-boat location and a multi-class single-hander blast would be great. Good central southern location. Say with a minimum windspeed and a 'Go' confirmed via this forum the day before ..... might have to put a few quid in the RNLI / Sailibility dish to help persuade. Good Idea Mike, and I've started a demo dates thread which would be a
useful spot to announce demo events and the boats available. |

There was a time, many years ago, when most of the single handed classes got together once a year for a handicap open meeting with a difference, called 'Classmaster'. Each class entered three boats and the helms swapped boats for every race. It was great fun and a very social (for social read alcoholic) weekend but sadly, it all ended when an enthusiastic Finn sailor leaped into a Moth and put his foot through the bottom. Perhaps we could resurrect this event and ban heavy feet?? Rodney Edited by rodney |

Rodney Good idea ... and encourage Tim along to BSC again this Sunday. Worth chatting over these ideas in person and on GRF's other thread. Mike L.
